The Southern Art Hub's residency programme is research-led and context-driven, prioritising process over production, exchange over extraction, and meaningful engagement with local communities and knowledge systems. 

Our residencies are designed as spaces for experimentation, reflection, and dialogue. Rather than imposing predetermined outcomes, we support artists in developing work through sustained engagement with place, context, and community. Operating within a flexible, nomadic framework, each residency responds to its environment, fostering cross-cultural exchange and new forms of artistic inquiry.
